Technical animation about the operating principle of the UPS system.

The HITEC PowerPro series marks another milestone in efficiency and performance. This innovative UPS solution was developed based on 65 years of industry experience. The range includes units from 470 kVA/400 kW to 3600 kVa/2880 kW for 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequencies.

How the ups work

The operating principle of a rotary UPS is based on the principle of a flywheel. A flywheel is a heavy object attached to an axle. When the flywheel is rotated, it stores kinetic energy. When the power supply fails, the kinetic energy of the flywheel is used to power a generator. The generator then produces electrical energy that can be used to power critical loads. Before the kinetic energy from the flywheel has been consumed, the 16-cylinder diesel engine is switched on. This one takes over. As a result, there is a seamless transition and the electrical energy supply remains stable.

The animation based on 3D CAD data

To clarify how the PowerPro 2700 works, Hitec had Luxxion make a 3D animation. This animation shows how the UPS works and how it provides a continuous power supply.

The purpose of the animation is to inform customers about the benefits of the PowerPro 2700. The animation is available on the Hitec website.
